The helicopters from above and passing vans’ headlights filled the room with sporadic light. The blood spots and disfigured body parts throughout the room were illuminated one by one only to again hide away in the darkness. Corrinne wished that ever time the lights would disappear that the nightmare would be over, but the reality of the situation could not be erased from her mind. And neither could his face, even though it looked far too much like her mother’s. It never took too long for her younger brother, David, with his angelic face and sweet laugh to fill her head. He was the only thing keeping her going, well at least his memory. Everyday of her life Corrinne wished her mother has chosen her and not her brother to do what she did. But now was no time for regrets; it was time for revenge.
